Its strongest role is at the front of a night. Recent listings point to a start between 19:00 and 20:00, before much of the strip reaches full late-club pace. Arriving around 20:00 gives you a straightforward way to hear what is playing, inspect the room and decide whether the music is the evening's main event or simply the bridge into Walking Street. There is no need to commit to the upstairs move before the band earns it.

The connection with 808 is physical and practical: Candyshop occupies the street-level part of the same stop, while 808 supplies the later club phase above. Treat them as two formats, not one continuous room. A visitor can like the band and skip the club, or use one drink downstairs to decide whether the building deserves the rest of the night.

Choose Candyshop when a live band, an earlier start and an easy street-level check matter more than prestige or a reserved table. It also suits mixed groups that have not agreed on a club yet. Pass when the plan is a quiet conversation, a fully published menu, a specific DJ or an immediate high-volume club session. A compact circuit can begin at Candyshop around 20:00, hold only if the band earns a second order, then choose exactly one next format. Go upstairs for 808, cross toward iBar for a terrace pause, or use Lucifer as the main late room. Trying all three after a full Candyshop session usually adds walking and duplicate orders without improving the night.
