HOW THIS ZONE WORKS
Pattayaland contains several numbered lanes, and the phrase Boyztown usually refers to Pattayaland Soi 3. That is different from Pattaya Beach Road Soi 3 in the north. It also differs from the nearby Soi 13/3 and 13/4 records, even though the grids meet and are easily confused on foot.
The historical case is stronger than the raw count. Boyztown was originally called Boystown and became a centre of gay entertainment during the 1990s and early 2000s. An academic record — a departmental bulletin paper from Kyoto University’s Institute for Research in Humanities — traces the Boyztown name to a decision made by bar owners around 1989 on the street where Cockpit Bar stood. That history is why this compact lane deserves more than a roster count: treat it as a heritage district with a current programme, not as a guarantee that every remembered address is still operating.
Four current records define the compact lane: Boyz Boyz Boyz, Castro Bar, X Boys and Panorama Pub. They cover stage shows, cabaret, a terrace and an early-evening lounge rhythm. The fifth record, Diamond Boy Bar, belongs geographically to Sunee Plaza and is kept once with that separation made explicit.

HOW TO MOVE THROUGH IT
From the numbered Soi 13 grid, use the Soi 13/4 side and look for the Pattayaland/Boyztown turn. Do not expect a direct Beach Road entrance to Pattayaland Soi 3. From elsewhere, Second Road is the simpler vehicle approach.
Walk the L-shaped core once — the four Boyztown records are close enough to compare by frontage, schedule and visible programme. A live travel-community profile suggests beginning on Castro’s terrace with a cocktail; it describes nightly cabaret performances and pool swims and publishes Castro’s address as 325/106-109 Pattaya Road, Soi 3. Use the terrace as the first orientation stop, then compare the next published programme with Boyz Boyz Boyz rather than assuming continuous performances across the lane. Castro’s profile is undated, so verify its current format at the door before making it the reason for a special trip.
Diamond Boy Bar is not the fifth stop on the same walk. Its Sunee Plaza position near Soi VC requires a separate ride or deliberate onward route. For a wider comparison of the city’s gay districts, follow the dedicated guide rather than treating Pattayaland as the whole scene.
The heritage sequence explains why this page survives the small-roster test. An academic record traces the Boyztown name to a bar-owners’ decision around 1989 on the street where Cockpit Bar stood, and local history records the district — originally Boystown — as a centre of gay entertainment through the 1990s and early 2000s. The present four-door core is therefore read against a district identity built over decades, not marketed as a newly invented micro-zone. Keep that history separate from current-status claims: a famous former address is not an open venue, and only the five June records appear below. The route also stays precise. BoyzTown is Pattayaland Soi 3 near the Soi 13/4 grid; north-beach Pattaya Soi 3 has its own guide, and Sunee Plaza is a separate pinned destination. Visitors should treat the lane as an operating community: ask before photographing people or shows, respect the audience, and use the published schedule only as a starting point. A quiet terrace at 18:00 and a stage room near midnight are different experiences, even within the same short bend.
