BARBÙ uses the top of Siam@Siam Design Hotel as more than a sunset bar. Level 24 holds two pools, an open kitchen and a Mediterranean menu built around plates for the table. That makes the venue useful well before dusk: swim and settle in during the afternoon, then let the same booking turn into drinks and dinner as central Pattaya lights up below.

The mood is social rather than ceremonial. The pools give it a resort-day rhythm, while the sharing menu makes more sense for couples, families and small groups than for someone chasing one fast cocktail. The official FAQ lists a 500 THB walk-in day pass for non-hotel visitors, redeemable against food or drinks; registered Siam@Siam guests do not pay it. The venue's dinner guide separately says guests booking only a dinner or sunset table can visit without buying the day pass. State which visit you want when reserving.

Who it suits: people who want to combine pool time, a central view and a proper shared meal without changing venues. It is also an easy sunset choice for a mixed-age group. Who should skip it: anyone expecting a free drop-in, a cheap bar-hopping round or a rooftop that keeps running deep into the night.

The distinction between a pool day and dinner matters. Pool access runs during the daytime window and the pass turns its full face value into credit, so it works best when you actually intend to swim, eat or stay for several hours. A dinner-only reservation is the cleaner route when sunset and the table are the whole plan. Do not arrive at dusk assuming the daytime pass, a particular lounger and a dinner table are one automatic package.

The mapping entry checked 24 July 2026 gives a 09:00 start and 23:00 finish seven days a week. The official FAQ narrows pool access to 09:00–17:00. Arrive in the early afternoon if the pools are the reason; for the full light-to-night change, book a later table but ask how swimming and dining are being managed on that date.

First-party pages checked 25 July also publish a daily 15:00–17:00 happy hour. Treat that as a timed offer rather than a promise that every drink or event package is reduced. Ask for the active menu and included pours before ordering. The same FAQ says fire-dancing sets run Friday through Sunday; that is a useful weekend signal, but programming can move, so confirm it if the performance is why you are travelling.

BARBÙ sits on Second Road at the northern end of central Pattaya. In the broad Beach Road & Jomtien zone, it is easier to combine with Central Pattaya than the Jomtien rooftops, but the best version of the visit is still a planned block rather than a quick link in a busy crawl.

Choose Horizon when the polished dinner occasion and high-floor panorama matter more than pools. Choose the Moon Deck for a lower, outdoor sunset drink with a shorter evening window. ZAMĀ is the stronger alternative when DJs and a 03:00 finish are the point. BARBÙ owns the middle ground: earlier, relaxed and food-led, with enough evening atmosphere to stay after the water closes.

For a clean night arc, arrive inside the last hour of pool access, use the 15:00–17:00 offer if its current menu suits you, then shift from loungers to a reserved table before sunset. That progression is what separates BARBÙ from a one-drink viewpoint. If your group is arriving only after dark, skip the pool logistics and book dinner directly; the open kitchen and sharing plates are substantial enough to carry the visit.
