ZAMĀ SKYBAR

ZAMĀ is not simply a high table for one sunset drink. It is a music-led rooftop built to carry an evening from daylight into the early hours. The venue occupies level 38 of D Varee Jomtien Beach and divides that height into several moods: the open Skybar Deck, a Sunset Lounge, an indoor dining room and the Sunrise Garden. That layout matters when weather moves across the coast, and it gives groups more than one way to use the room.

The official programme makes the intended arc clear. Doors open at 16:00. From 16:00 to 19:00, the Sunset Session uses organic Afrohouse and melodic sets as the sea light changes. From 19:00, the tempo turns toward Afrohouse and Afro Tech. Friday and Saturday programming adds performers and fire elements. This is a destination for people who want the view to become the night, not a dinner rooftop that empties after the photographs are taken.

Who it suits: couples or groups who want a long rooftop session, electronic music and enough time to settle into one place. It also works as a late Jomtien finish when a conventional rooftop would already be winding down. Who should skip it: anyone looking for a quiet early meal, a low-cost quick round or a compact central crawl with several doors a few minutes apart.

The four-space layout gives the evening a weather plan as well as a mood plan. The deck and sunset lounge make sense while the coast is clear; the indoor dining room provides a fallback if wind or rain changes the rooftop. Ask which areas are operating before travelling across town, especially when the outdoor view is the main reason for the visit.

ZAMĀ's official site lists daily hours of 16:00–03:00. The live Google Maps listing differed when checked on 25 July 2026: it showed Saturday as 17:00–04:00 and Sunday to Friday as 16:00–03:00. We do not average that conflict. Confirm Saturday's opening and finish directly with the venue. Arrive before 18:00 if the changing sky is the point; arrive after 19:00 if the music is.

The published menus are also explicit that listed prices attract 10% service charge and 7% VAT. That is the useful cost signal here; we found no reliable current cover or universal drink price to quote. A reservation is sensible for a specific sunset table or weekend performance, while a flexible late visit needs less precision.

No general entry charge was published on the official pages checked on 25 July. That is not a promise of free access on every event night. Ask about the door, minimum spend and table conditions together, particularly for Friday or Saturday programming. A clear reservation answer is more useful than assuming the ordinary schedule applies to a special performance.

Within the Beach Road & Jomtien zone, ZAMĀ sits at the southern, destination end. It does not slot naturally into a Walking Street or central Beach Road walk. Plan transport both ways and treat the rooftop as the main event. For a polished central sunset-and-dinner occasion, compare Horizon. BARBÙ opens earlier in central Pattaya and puts Mediterranean sharing plates and its pools at the centre. Torien, farther south in Na Jomtien, is the quieter Japanese izakaya choice and closes much earlier.
